The LEHNKERING Road Logistics division is expanding its services and has now started transporting liquid gas (Liquefied Petroleum Gas or LPG). A new company has been set up in the shape of LEHNKERING Gas Logistics AB and it will initially handle the distribution of LPG for a well-known international energy supplier in southern Sweden. A fleet of special vehicles was put into operation to handle this long-term contract.
The district of Hedemünden in Hannoversch Münden will be home to a new LEHNKERING dangerous goods warehouse by April 2014. The chemical logistics specialist will handle warehouse, transhipment and picking services at this site for the vehicle parts wholesaler Wessels + Müller AG.
LEHNKERING Chemical Transport GmbH (LCT) opened a new business location in Hamburg in August. The logistics service provider is using this development to reinforce its business activities for the chemical and petrochemical industry in northern Germany. The company now has a network of twelve business locations in Europe, including Hamburg.
LEHNKERING Chemical Transport GmbH, the specialist for tanker transportation services for chemical products across Europe, has equipped its fleet of trucks with the latest on-board computer generation produced by Trimble Transport & Logistics. The V3 CarCube System as well as other features like document scanners will make the processing of orders more efficient in the future.They enable more flexible transport planning and an improved CO2 emissions balance sheet.
LEHNKERING Logistics N.V., which has its headquarters in Antwerp, received AEO certification in mid-July. The Belgian subsidiary of LEHNKERING GmbH based in Duisburg, Germany, is able to provide simplified customs procedures within the 28 EU member states as a result of being an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO).
